Apache Kafka - From High-Level to Deep Dive

Our (remote) speaker this month is Felix GV, a Data Infrastructure Engineer at LinkedIn.

Kafka is a distributed queue system, initially developed at LinkedIn and promoted to an Apache Foundation project. It's a core component of many Big Data architectures, and included in the most recent version of Cloudera's Hadoop distribution.

This talk will present the motivation for building Apache Kafka and some other tools around it. Felix will then explain how Kafka works, and some best practices, tips and tricks on how to make the most out of it.
