November's 3Dcamp Limerick meetup features two presentations followed by demos and networking.

PRESENTATION 1: Beyond Animojis, Solving real problems with Augmented Reality, Lessons learned from the Realar.com team.

Co-founder Keith Ahern will present on the technical, commercial and usability challenges of running an AR based business.

A Limerick native, Keith spent 20 years in Australia and Silicon Valley on cutting edge internet products, starting with Netscape and News Corp and then with his own start ups. Keith’s latest startup is Realar.com which brings life-size walk-throughs of floor-plans to Augmented Reality on iOS and Android.

Keith will also demo RealAR.

PRESENTATION 2: 'No Place Like' - a service that puts homeware retailer's products into Augmented Reality

Limerick based 'No Place Like' was recently chosen for Google's 8th Adopt a Startup program, as one of the top 30 startups in Europe. This was after soon after the company's service launched on September 17th. Retailers such as EZ Living have commissioned 3D content from No Place Like and with their software customers can see products in their home in 1:1 scale before purchasing them.

Founder, Allen Wixted completed Enterprise Ireland's New Frontiers Entrepreneurial Development Program in August. Hear his story of entrepreneurship and learn about his views on the future of Augmented Reality.

Besides demos from the speakers above we're delighted to have some 3rd year students from LIT showing the work they're doing on Augmented Reality projects. The students used Unity and Vuforia to build Android based apps.

The organizers will also bring along a Lenovo Mirage VR180 camera and the Oculus Go headset to show some 180 degree footage from Bunratty Folk Park.
