Appropriate clothing for going in the woods
Some sort of bag or basket for gathering

Gardening gloves
Knife
Hand shovel
Scissors
Phone with plant identification app
Field guide resources (I am using Southeast Foraging by Chris Bennett)

I will teach my methods of identification, review the rules of foraging, and point out familiar plants and their uses. We will also work together to identify new plants- building our knowledge as a team.
