We all miss Pluto. All the mnemonics we used to memorize the order of the planets just don't feel right without ending in "Pizzas."

This memoir was written by one of Pluto's staunchest assassins - and he doesn't feel guilty about it, even after all the hate mail he received from elementary schoolers.

Michael Brown was a grad student trying to discover new planets at the edge of our solar system when he accidentally made discoveries that pushed the International Astronomical Union to demote Pluto from planet to dwarf planet. How I Killed Pluto is not just a scientific exploration of the reasons why Brown pushed for Pluto's demotion, but also a personal memoir that aims to explore the nature of scientific discoveries.

It's under 300 pages and written fairly lightly despite the heavy subject matter. We'll discuss at La Farm Bakery at the end of the month.
