Kubernetes is quickly becoming the standard to deploy and manage enterprise microservices. Initially popular in the cloud and data centers, Kubernetes is now starting to make its way to edge and IoT devices. Rancher’s K3s is a lightweight, fast distribution of Kubernetes that runs on x86 and ARM devices and requires only 512MB RAM. This meetup will include a brief introduction of Rancher Labs, an architectural overview of K3s, and a live demo. The presentation will conclude with a Q&A session. See also https://www.k3s.io/ .
