VFX Artist: Pixar, Walt Disney and Dreamworks Animation Studios

Hope Schroers is a visual effects artist based in Brooklyn, NY, specializing in FX for animated feature films. Since graduating from the Savannah College of Art & Design in 2021 (BFA in Visual Effects), she has worked on several films with Pixar, Walt Disney and Dreamworks Animation Studios. She is currently working again with Pixar on their first movie release for 2026, Hoppers.

Join us for a glimpse into the expansive process of animation production through the experience of Hope’s eyes as an FX Technical Director and learn what goes behind directing fire, water, dust and other effects to bring a story to life and to the big screen. Her presentation will include her artistic process and principles, and an example shot with a look into how her technical work is completed.
