Look around you and you will start to realise that it is no longer the case that the only "smart" objects in our lives are computers, phones and other gadgets. We are witnessing a rapid growth in typically "dumb" items being imbued with digital brainpower - this is the internet of things.
3D printing is of course spurring the growth of this exciting new field. Being able to create novel and bespoke objects in combination with integrated "brainpower" is allowing us to truly push the limits of what has been conventionally accepted up until now. Individualized manufacture being used in tandem with tiny, connected chips is going to revolutionize the way we interact with and understand the objects in our lives.
Join us at the iMakr store in Farringdon as we explore this emerging field and how we are seeing an increase in intelligence and connectivity within everything around us. Expect an evening of thought provoking discussion over a few drinks, as well a chance to see some 3D printing in action. There will be presentations from various guests with considerable experience in the field. Bring along your own designs to get feedback from the experts and see if the iMakr team can help you 3D print them.
The event will be recorded and broadcast on MyMiniFactoryTV:

There will be a opportunity for a 30 second shout if you have ideas or questions for Maarten or any other guests.
