HERE Tech. Social Berlin: Software Development

Details
We are delighted to announce the first in a series of HERE Technology Socials, a run of events focused on engaging Technical Discussion and networking, located at HERE's offices in Central Berlin.
To kick off the evening, Andriy Shnyr will be giving an introduction to the Map Compilation process, giving an insight in to how the HERE Core Map and Core Platform are compiled and how we utilize both programming and data processing to create our maps. He will also discuss the problems the Map Compilation process can solve and how this is achieved.
Andriy is a Senior Manager in our Engineering Department, focused on the teams creating our Core Platform and Map.
Additionally, Sven De Ridder will be presenting an topic called "The Automotive Pivot: Scaling Navigation Architecture". He intends to describe how the shift of focus from primarily mobile to primarily automotive necessitates the development of a scaled architecture. There is a substantial increase in functional breadth and complexity but also demands for quality, performance and robustness. Other topics covered will be concurrent dataflow programming and the view of a navigation system as a platform of externalizable services, as well as process independence, integration of prototypes and aggressive, fail-fast error models.
Sven is an Engineer in our Navigation Team focused on C++ Development.
This event would be most interesting and beneficial for C++ Engineers and those interested in the systems and architecture enabling HERE to create our Maps and Navigation services.
There will also be a Networking component to the evening and of course, free Food and Drinks provided by HERE.
We look forward to welcoming you on site and welcome any questions regarding the Event.
