3Dcamp Dublin Meetup

3Dcamp Dublin takes place again on August 20th and we've got a great lineup of speakers. The first we're announcing is Gary Dempsey of Realsim Ltd. based in Galway.

Gary is an archaeologist and 3D designer working with Realsim, a 3D company developing interactive virtual environments for multiple platforms. After observing how difficult it was to obtain detailed 3D data sets for the creation of virtual heritage Gary began to look at ways to record 3D cultural objects which could be shared openly, at a low cost, while still meeting the need for accuracy required in heritage visualization .

Gary will speak about his current citizen science photogrammetry projects Roscommon3D and Galway3D, using open source programs to develop virtual museums, and discuss the future of virtual heritage in Ireland.

--------------------------------------------------------- The second speaker we're announcing for this month's 3Dcamp Dublin is Rich O'Brien, founder of SketchUcation which, with 250,000+ members and 2.1 million page views per month is one of the busiest hubs of 3D modeling, computer graphics and related topics in the world.

During his presentation Rich will introduce EDG3D for SketchUp. EDG3D is for CAD Professionals that need to quickly and securely share designs while maintaining visual impact. And VR / AR are firmly on the roadmap for 2016.
