*** UPDATE ***

I am working on getting a fantastic Clojure/CS guest speaker, who will be in Pittsburgh the beginning of the week. It will alter the original (mundane) topic into a great one, assuming it all works out.

I apologize for the short notice, but it will be well worth it (trust me).

*** UPDATE **

I realized yesterday the different backgrounds of the group in other languages, it would be nice to learn interested to learn about functional features in the other languages.

As a suggestion, in the first meeting we could come up with a list of functional features in Clojure and implement an exsample (fib, ...). Then in a followup meeting people would give short (if that's possible) talks about that feature in a different language and explain it using example code in that language.

The second meeting could be a 30min per language with a very short 20,000ft intro into language and then straight into the examples.

Not sure if this makes sense, but wanted to throw this out.
