For the first VR Artists meetup we want to showcase some of the most inspiring VR art experiences, give a tutorial on how to paint and sculpt in MasterpieceVR, and then let everyone experiment with MasterpieceVR.

There are six VR booths so we will break everyone into groups and they can take turns and discuss what they'd like to do.

We would like each session to have some practical purpose as well, to test both expressive and production capabilities of MasterpieceVR. Here are the first two challenges for those interested.

3D Printing Challenge

MasterpieceVR can be used to create models for 3D printing. For those who are interested, we would challenge you to create something you'd like to 3D print. You can sculpt something from scratch or work from a preset bust (see picture).

We have access to a 3D printer and will be able to print the models (for the cost of the material) and bring them to the next meetup.

3D Design Workflow - (exporting to .obj and .stl)

For those who work in 3D programs like ZBrush and 3D Studio Max, models in MasterpieceVR can be exported for further work in these programs. We'd like to test this workflow and get a better idea of how much time can be saved by modelling in VR before creating a mesh and refining the work in these programs.
