Scala Property Checking & Foundations in Akka Clustering

Details
Ahoy Scala Members!
We're just little over a month away from our next Meetup. We've got two great presentations coming up from members in our community. On July 14th @ 6:30pm, Andrea Law from Bench Accounting and Luke Kysow from Hootsuite will be talking about Scala property checks and setting up Akka clusters.
It's also going to be a great chance for us to convene since our big joint Meetup last April.
Here's some details:

Foundations in Akka Clustering
Akka Clustering is an extremely powerful library for building distributed systems. In this talk I’ll introduce Akka Clustering through the story of how we built our Twitter Streaming Service for handling the Twitter events of 1.6 million users.
We’ll cover many of the features of Akka and Akka Clustering, including actor supervision for handling failures with individual actors, cluster failure detection for handling entire node failures, cluster routing for transparently sending messages across the cluster, Akka Split Brain Resolver, and more.

Andrea Law, Software Engineer

Testing: Doing it PROPER(T)LY with ScalaCheck
A dive into the Scala implementation of Haskell’s QuickCheck property-testing library to help you leverage the best of it.
--------------------------------
Location is at Hootsuite HQ. Doors open at 6pm, presentations start at 6:30pm. Looking forward to seeing you all there!
Warmly,
Justin
