Looking for fellow hikers/trekkers who wish to challenge themselves on Mount Semeru in Indonesia.

This is a short trip primarily focused on summiting Mount Semeru(3,676m), with an additional day of sightseeing at Mount Bromo (optional) after the trek.

Mount Semeru is the highest mountain in Java and is an active volcano. It is a challenging 2D1N trek. The route takes you past the picturesque Lake Kumbolo while hiking across the grasslands of Oro-Oro Ombo and camping at the base of Mount Semeru. The next morning, we will trek to the summit and see the amazing views from the highest peak of Java. The summit push of Mount Semeru is especially tiring, as you ascend up the steep and narrow ash slopes but the reward at the end makes it worth the while.

Who is this for?

This is for anyone who wishes to challenge themselves. Semeru is very similar in difficulty to Rinjani.
