WHEN: 7pm First Friday of Every Month
WHERE: Cure Bar and Bistro, Grand Hyatt Metro Center, 1000 H St NW, Washington, DC 20001
WHY: If you grew up abroad as a kid, come on over and meet other folks (ranging in ages of early-20s to mid-60s) who know the true meaning of "So where are you from?" We'll be meeting downstairs at Cure on either the second or third level below the Lobby entrance.
If you can't make it this month, no worries, next one will be on Friday March 3rd (see below for the rest of the year). They're generally on the first Friday of every month, with a few exceptions, particularly if it's a holiday weekend (Independence Day, Columbus Day, etc) or if I'm out of town.
Ideas for other possible locations always welcome (preferably ones that are relatively quiet -- good for conversation -- and serve wine/beer/booze).
METRO: At Metro Center, take the 11th (and G) Street exit. After the wickets go thru the glass doors on the left ("Grand Hyatt Hotel/Washington Center Offices"). Walk down the winding hallway, up a couple flights of escalators to get to the hotel. Main entrance to Cure is on the Lobby Level. We'll be down the stairs after you enter Cure.
DRIVING: Parking in Hyatt hotel is $18 for up to four hours. There's also parking nearby.
