Shadow Puppetry & Gamelan of Java

Join us for a rare cultural night of shadow puppetry featuring master puppeteer Woro Mustiko Siwi and gamelan music!

We are honored to be led by the celebrated Woro Mustiko Siwi, a master puppeteer (dhalang) and one of the few women in Indonesia to achieve national and international acclaim in this traditionally male-dominated field. In a historic first, she will be performing the story in English, adapting the traditional multi-hour epic into a special one-hour presentation.

I will be performing for this event with the Kasuryan Javanese Gamelan Group, adding live traditional gamelan music to the experience.
