—EVENT DETAILS: This group is all about meeting and making new single friends. This is not specifically a “dating group” but rather a safe place to meet other singles for friendship, and possibly more…if that’s your desire.
—MESSAGING MEMBERS: Do not message members through the Meetup app.
—HOW WILL YOU FIND US? Locate me when you arrive so I may check you in. I will keep my profile pic up-to-date and I arrive 15 min early if you would like to join me.
—RSVPs: They are considered a firm
commitment. If you RSVP yes, and later cancel, you may be removed from the group. All no-shows, frequent excuses for cancelling and frequent late arrivals will be cause for removal.
—THE EXCEPTION: If you are sick, change your RSVP to decline and post a public comment on the event. Do NOT attend if symptomatic.
—WAITLIST: Please move yourself from “waitlist” to “decline” as soon as you decide you will not attend if given a spot. If you cancel AFTER given a spot, this is considered a cancelation.
—YOUR PROFILE: Must include your name and a recent picture of you for identification (no group shots please).

OUR FIRST EVENT: The Waiting Room!!!

Our first event will be held at this chill cocktail bar serving small plates, specialty drinks, beer and wine in a cozy atmosphere.
THE LOCATION ADDRESS: The Meetup app was unable to recognize the address for “The Waiting Room” (maybe because the bar is fairly new). So, I dropped a map pin for the location and typed in the address under “How to Find Us”. For parking, may I suggest the American Tobacco South Deck at 705 Willard St, Durham, NC 27701. There should be plenty of parking as there is no Campus event or DPAC show this date. After parking, walk the length of the campus until you arrive at “The Waiting Room”.
When planning for this event, I encourage adding in extra travel-time due to rush hour and parking. Maybe arrive early and enjoy the American Tobacco Campus beforehand? I will be arriving at The Waiting Room at 5pm when they open to guarantee myself a chair at the bar. Feel free to join me early if you would like.
