Dear Friends,
The 412Step Executive Committee has been closely following the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic and considering its potential effects on our organization. Following the guidance of the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and with the health of our community in mind, 412Step is indefinitely suspending all of our dance events, effective immediately. We will continue to monitor the situation and keep you updated as events unfold.
412Step has become a unique weekly event that many of us have come to anticipate on a regular basis. Through dance we have created new bonds and friendships. Unfortunately, the only way to avoid the virus is through social distancing. We believe that by taking this proactive precaution, we are helping to reduce the spread of this disease in our dance community and the community at large.
We are proud of the all-inclusive environment that you have helped us build where everyone is welcome. In this spirit, it is imperative that we understand that this is a worldwide pandemic and should not be associated with any particular group of people. 412Step does not tolerate racism or discrimination of any kind and reminds you to be considerate and thoughtful while dealing with these challenging times.
We are disappointed to have to make this decision, but feel that it is best to limit our group's exposure and reduce the potential spread of disease within the general public. While we hope that this suspension won’t last long, until the virus is contained we must consider how our actions could affect the larger population.

412Step is a community group for Waltzing, 2-Stepping, and Line Dancing.
Founded in the LGBTQ+ community, 412Step welcomes anyone to take on the role of lead or follow and enjoy an evening of twirling and dancing.
We dance every Wednesday night at Belvederes Ultra-Dive in Lawrenceville and monthly on a Saturday of the month at ELEMENT in Shadyside.
