Visit and learn about the unseen urban ecology of three piers along the Delaware including the new Fishing Pier, Washington Avenue Pier, and an undeveloped wild pier or two. We’ll stumble upon spontaneous art and reflect on the good and the bad of human-impacted ecology along the waterfront. Find out about new development plans along the Central Delaware and discuss their potential impact to the surrounding ecology and economy.

Round-trip walking distance is just over a mile. Please wear sneakers or other comfortable shoes. Meet at the entrance to Washington Avenue Pier along the Delaware River bike trail. 100% of the program cost of $10 (payable through PayPal) will go toward LandHealth Institute’s programming and urban land improvements. Bring your friends- the more the merrier! Please go here (http://www.landhealthinstitute.org/event/walk-the-piers-of-the-delaware-3/) to register and pre-pay through our website.
