Huron River Float Day 🌊☀️

Join us for a laid-back summer day floating the Huron River from Dexter-Huron Metropark back to Delhi Metropark.
We’ll meet at Delhi Metropark at 10:00 AM so everyone has plenty of time to park, find the group, check in, get life jackets, organize coolers and belongings, and be ready for our 11:00 AM tubing trip.

After check-in, Skip’s will shuttle us upriver to Dexter-Huron Metropark. From there, we’ll get into our tubes and spend approximately 2–3 hours floating downstream at a relaxed pace until we arrive back at Delhi Metropark, where our cars will already be waiting.
This is a 21+ event. Goodie bags will be available for attendees, 21+.

Please plan to arrive at 10:00 AM, not 11:00 AM. We want everyone checked in and ready before the shuttle leaves.

### Where to Meet

Skip’s Huron River Canoe Livery at Delhi Metropark

Park at Delhi Metropark and meet the group near Skip’s check-in area.
We’ll park here first, check in together, and then Skip’s will shuttle us upriver. After the float, we’ll end right back at Delhi Metropark, so your vehicle will be waiting for you when we finish.

### Cost

Regular Tube: $28 per person
Optional Cooler Tube: $20
The cooler tube does not include a cooler, so bring your own small cooler if you reserve one.
A Metroparks vehicle entry fee may also apply unless you already have an annual Metroparks pass.
Please reserve your tubing spot in advance for the 11:00 AM Dexter-Huron to Delhi tubing trip.

### What to Bring

Come ready to spend a few hours on the water.
Bring:

• Bathing suit
• Water shoes, secure sandals, or old sneakers
• Sunscreen and/or tanning oil
• Hat
• Sunglasses
• Plenty of water
• Beverages of choice
• Lunch and snacks
• Small cooler if you reserve a cooler tube
• Waterproof phone pouch
• Dry bag or waterproof bag for personal belongings
• Towel
• Dry change of clothes to leave in your car
• Bug spray
• Book, music, or anything else you enjoy while relaxing on the river

Please avoid glass bottles and Styrofoam coolers.

### The Float

The river portion of the trip is approximately 2–3 hours, depending on the current and water conditions that day.
This is meant to be a relaxed float, not a race. We’ll have time to talk, enjoy the scenery, listen to music, snack, and simply enjoy being on the water together.
Life jackets are provided and required.

### After the Float

Once we return to Delhi Metropark, anyone who wants to stay can hang out a little longer, change clothes, eat, relax by the water, and enjoy the rest of the afternoon together.
Plan for the overall outing to run until approximately 3:00–4:00 PM.

### Important Notes

21+ only. No children.
This event is not pet-friendly. Pets are not permitted in the inflatable tubes.
This event is weather permitting. River conditions and weather will be considered as the event gets closer.
Weekend tubing reservations are limited, so please reserve your tube ahead of time.
