Speaker Information:

Session 1: Tim Wu/Sean O'Connor
Tim is a Data Science Manager at Accenture based out of Southern California. He has 15 years of Quantitative Modeling and Data Analysis experience, which including Machine Learning Models, Big Data Analytics, and Statistics modeling methods. He has led the analytics team in several engagements at Semiconductor and Internet Technology (Social Media, Computer, Networking & Communication), Finance, and Insurance industries. Tim earned his Master of Science degree in Operations Research - Financial Engineering from Columbia University, and he also has a dual Master of Science degrees in Electrical Engineering and Materials Engineering from the University of Southern California.

Sean is a Seattle-based Data Science Manager in Accenture's Applied Intelligence Practice. Sean has 5+ years experience in data science and machine learning, and 8+ years experience in signal processing, sensing, and embedded computing. Sean holds a PhD from the University Michigan focused in reliability-based asset management for civil infrastructure and a MS in Electrical Engineering. Sean has extensive experience with wireless sensor systems including hardware and firmware development, analog conditioning, embedded computing, signal processing, data compression and energy efficiency.

Session 2: Skander Hannachi
Skander Hannachi is a data scientist and ML engineer working for Nordstrom's merchandising and inventory deployment team. His current interests are time series models and optimization algorithms applied to demand forecasting and inventory management. Prior to that, he worked in consulting roles, implementing retail forecasting and planning solutions for various retailers. He holds a Ph.D in computational intelligence and has done academic research on neural networks and fuzzy logic, both from a theoretical point of view, as well as applied to fisheries and environmental sciences.

Session 3: Soheil Moosavi
Soheil is a Data Science Consultant based in Seattle and a member of Microsoft AI Center of Excellence. He has a Bachelors in Computer Engineering and a Masters in Computer Science and his years of experience in variety of R&D projects has exposed him to a plethora of technologies such as machine learning, information retrieval, and big data, while his deepest interest and experience remains in natural language processing and deep learning. He presented and awarded in international data analytics challenges and awarded as employee of the year.

Session 4: Andrew Ferlitsch
Andrew Ferlitsch is an expert on computer vision and deep learning at Google Cloud AI Developer Relations, and formerly a principal research scientist for 20 years at Sharp Corporation of Japan, where he has 114 issued US patents and worked on emerging technologies: telepresence, augmented reality, digital signage, and autonomous vehicles. Currently in his present role, he reaches out to developer communities, corporations and universities, teaching Deep Learning and evangelizing Google's AI technologies.
