Schedule:
Saturday
8:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Meet your instructor bright and early for coffee, complete some paperwork, do a quick quiz (just to make sure you did your online work), make any personal gear purchases, and then its off to the pool (downstairs)! What happens in the pool? Your instructor will demonstrate above water and then underwater a series of skills, one at a time, and you will get to practice each skill until you (and your instructor) feel you have mastered it. After you have mastered the first half of the required skills in the pool you will get a break for lunch and then its off to the boat (30 steps from the pool). Following a short 25 minute boat ride you will be sitting on top of a gorgeous reef, ready to take your first plunge and show off you newly learned pool skills! About 45 minutes later you will ascend from your first dive to in pure joy and amazement, wondering why you waited so long to do this. Was it Nemo? Shark week? We can't wait to hear what made you take the class. What will you see underwater? Fish! Lots of pretty fish. We also see turtles, lobster, eels, corals, rays, grouper, anemones, shipwrecks, lost GoPros and the occasional shark. Don't worry, the sharks are more afraid of you and never cause any fear or harm. Your day is not over yet! We move the boat to yet another amazing location while you get a leisurely 30 minute surface interval to go over the next dives plan (and text all your friends how awesome you are). We swap our gear over to a fresh tank of air and then off we go again for another spectacular dive. Once everyone is done with their second dive, find your comfort space on the boat and enjoy the ride back to the dock with insta-worthy marine and city scenery.
Sunday:
8:00 AM to 6:00 PM
After getting a little more time to sleep in, its back to the pool to finish off the last of your underwater skills! Sharing air, taking our masks off under water, and so many other fun skills that we can't mention them all. After a break, we board our very own custom dive boat again and head out. Miami is known as the "Wreckreactional Dive Capital" of the world for its concentration of shipwrecks that make for perfect dive sites and homes to many varieties of fish and critters. You may want to rent an underwater light for this dive to see all of the vibrant colors that are lost in the deep. After your wreck dive, we will move the boat again to either another wreck or a reef dive, depending on where the conditions are best. The boat will return to the shop around 5pm and after we wash our gear and change back into human clothes, we will process your Scuba Certification card! Plan on wrapping up by 6 pm
