Meet 11-11.15 @ Le Pain Quotidien opposite Monument tube station, Fish Street Hill entrance. There are cafes nearby with toilets. At the end we can grab a snack and drink somewhere for those who wish to continue socialising.

For me as a guide, this is where it all began; my first foray into the wonders of London history began here in the Square Mile, a fascinating and still in many ways mysterious place and in terms of London history - certainly in terms of London becoming the booming trading city it is today this is where it all began. It was nearly 2000 years ago that the Romans came and developed what they called 'Londinium' and it is now the richest square mile in the world, full of iconic buildings such as St Pauls Cathedral, the Bank of England and the Monument .
