MEET OUTSIDE SLOANE SQUARE TUBE

Chelsea is chock-a-block with blue plaque artists, writers and musicians. And the King's Road has a legendary place in pop culture.

This walk however - led by poet and comedy writer David N - swerves the punk rock beat and starts instead at the famous Royal Court Theatre.

From there we explore the back streets of Chelsea where we find a host of excellent statues - including one by an artist who also famously sculpted the Beatles.

The walk ends in the King's Road where -since 2024 - there has resided a fantastic giant 'bust' of Oscar Wilde by Eduardo Paolozzi

Paolozzi is well known to Londoners (his tiles adorn Tottenham Court Rd tube) but though he created the Wilde statue 30 years ago it was never completed in his lifetime and was only unveiled 2 years ago.

Any enquiries text/call David N on 07990 593 365

Cost of tour £10.00 cash on the day as ever.
