Big Cypress National Preserve 6 miles--Moderate Paced

Carpenter Camp in-and-out 6 mile woods hike on the blue trail. Water and a snack are necessary. The pace is moderate and we'll have lots of scenery. No attendance limit. Bring a guest. No pets.

HIKE BEGINS AT 8:30 A.M.

Directions: Take Alligator Alley I-75 west towards Naples. Look for the REST AREA sign just past around Mile Marker 60 or 61, and exit the highway. After exiting, make a sharp right in the parking lot and park at the gate entrance to the trail. SUGGESTION: Leave home earlier and exit at the REST AREA. After exiting the highway continue straight to the Welcome Center and restrooms. Then meet us by the entrance gates to the trail which is at the other end of the Welcome Center parking lot.
If you miss the REST AREA exit on I-75 then you will miss the hike unless your timing is very early. Ahead 10 miles you can make a U turn. Joint Hike with Get-Out-There-Adventurers.
