Join us for a camping and wildlife adventure starting from Lake Mills county park. The park sits along the lake and offers primitive car and tent camping. The campground has a bathroom and shower but does not have electric or water at the site. Please be advised that RV's and trailers are not allowed. Please see below for booking instructions.

Tentative Agenda

  • Friday Orlando Wetlands, a special wildlife refuge. We will be able to take the tram tour and hike. Bring your cameras for some special photography.
  • Saturday Take a one hour drive through scenic back roads and country sites to Black Bear Wilderness Area which is one of the top hiking areas in Florida.
  • Sunday Morning hike at Econlockhatchee Sandhills Conservation Area. This is a three mile hike rich in scenery with possible wildlife sightings.

Book your camp site at Recreation.seminolecountyfl.gov. Please be advised that you will need to first create an account with the website which may take a day to process. In addition you must book each night separately. Once you have added each night to the Cart it will connect your nights so that you only make one purchase. Follow the instructions and call the day before to get the gate code.
