Details

Expect a moderate paced nature walk through Riverbend Park with possible wildlife sightings. We may also venture out of the park to the Cypress Creek Natural Area and the Ocean to Lake Trail.

The trail within Riverbend is crushed rock however we may encounter other surfaces like grass, sand, and even mud. Closed toe shoes and long pants are recommended.

Riverbend is a beautiful 680 acres of forested hiking and biking trails as well as canoeing and kayaking.

We will meet at 8;00AM at the front of the park and begin walking at 8;15AM.

Water is required for this walk. Hat, sunscreen, and bug repellent may also be useful.

The park is open from sunrise to sunset.

LENGTH: 6-8 Miles
DIFFICULTY: Easy from a terrain standpoint. The only challenge here is the length.
BUG FACTOR: Possible, but low
FEES: None
Restrooms: Brand new restrooms at the front of the park and in picnic island, porta potties located on the trails in several areas.

Directions:

From the north on the Turnpike -
Take the Turnpike North through West Palm Beach.
Take exit 116 toward Florida 706/Jupiter/Okeechobee
Slight left toward W Indiantown Rd
Take the 1st right onto W Indiantown Rd
Turn left into Riverbend Park.

From south on I-95 -
Take I-95 North through West Palm Beach.
Take exit 87B to merge onto FL-706 W/W Indiantown Rd toward Okeechobee
Turn left into Riverbend Park.
