Free Movies & Musicals performance followed by Optional Exhibition

I have 10 free tickets for a magical lunchtime concert celebrating songs from the best movies and musicals.

This promises to be a joyful lunchtime concert of iconic songs from the movies and stage, performed by film soundtrack vocalists and Classical BRIT nominees Classical Reflection. With music from The Lord of the Rings, Disney favourites, Les Misérables and The Phantom of the Opera. Runtime is 60 minutes with no interval.

Following the performance, as an optional extra (although great if everyone does join), we will take the 15-minute walk to see the free exhibition at the Hayward Gallery by Musquiqui Chihying, entitled A Life of Navigation. Whilst only small, this exhibition begins with Chihying’s early, quirky attempts to navigate the impacts of our busy and often high-stress urban life. Alongside these early works, sit two newly produced video installations. These latest works cast a playful yet critical eye on the development of artificial intelligence and gaming culture.

We are meeting by 12.30 latest as doors open at 12.45 for the musical performance and we want to get good seats. Please therefore be slightly early or on time. You are unlikely to be able to find us or contact us if you are late.

As this event occurs over lunch time, you may want to bring a sandwich or snack with, as hopefully there will be a short time between the two events when we can eat such.

After the second event, if time permits, we can get a drink or tea and cake so that we get an opportunity to have a good chat about what we have just seen and experienced.

Both the above events are free but a £3.00 non refundable (even if you cancel) maintenance fee (to help pay Meetup fees) applies and meetup will also charge you a small amount on top.

We would appreciate it if you cancelled no later than 2 days before the event and to please avoid cancelling on the day as that may get you removed from the group.
