Buntzen Lake Beginners Paddle

The Plan: Easy paddle close to shore at Buntzen Lake, May head around the corner if I see people are capable and head towards Concrete Bridge and back.
Bring a lunch. Picnic in Dog Area.

This is weather dependant. No rain and winds under 10 Km/hr.

Parking Reservations: Reserve the night before. Friday Morning time. That takes you till 2pm.

Renting SUP: I have not found a good place to rent from.
If you rented one from Rocky Point, you would be looking at at least a 3 hour minimum, Time wasted in travel from Buntzen and back. Expensive.
Best if you have your own SUP and all the gear. You must bring a life jacket. To show Park Rangers you have one.

MEC Vancouver has some to rent: Rent early. I will look at the weather 3 days before and decide if we go.

Possibility of available boards, I have two extras ones with all the gear. May need a life jacket.
Its a lot of work to bring them. I would charge $20 for my effort,
Have not decide who I will offer them to. If friends do not wish to go out, I then would have one or two available. Will see as date becomes closer.
I have one large and one for a person under 120lbs. 4" thick board. Not as stable for larger person.

Meeting spot: Buntzen Dock, push pin on map should be in the correct location.
If you bring your own drive down to dock and set it up there. Then park car in parking lot.

Must have good balance and not afraid of falling in.
