Repair Café & Brunch

How long have you been looking at that beloved item that needs a little tender loving care to restore it to its natural glory? What's holding you back from completing the repairs? Motivation? Skill? Energy? Offer me some of your precious time and allow me to provide you the gift of all three!

1. Motivation: Truth be told, this is me working at motivating myself and hoping some of you will join me to make sure I follow through!
2. Skill: Experienced and generous volunteers are ready and willing to repair your item (if they can). They do it all ... bicycles, jewelry, textiles, small appliances, electronics, furniture, toys, crockery, etc.
3. Energy: Socialize with each other during the repairs (specifically for the extroverts) and after the repairs are complete, we'll hop over to the Cat & Fiddle for an energizing brunch!

Repair Café Information
At Repair Café Port Coquitlam, you will find experienced volunteers, with expert tools and materials, to help fix common household items. During the repair, visitors may have the opportunity to learn how to make small repairs themselves while maintaining their items to keep them lasting much longer. We are part of an international movement to divert our stuff from landfills and give our things a new lease on life with a simple repair. Since 2011, the Repair Café International Foundation has provided support to local groups across the globe to start a repair café in their own community. The Repair Café Port Coquitlam is one of 2500 operating worldwide! Since June of 2019, the Repair Café Port Coquitlam has operated with a mission to inspire a culture of re-use and repair while providing opportunities for intergenerational knowledge-sharing, and community building.
