Marco Peereboom will give us a talk about:
Introduction to Decred, find out why an autonomous digital currency built on the value of self-governance with a strong focus on community input, sustainable funding and innovative development. What is a digital currency, what is governance and what does it have to do with blockchain?

About Marco:
Marco Peereboom is one of the founders and currently the New Systems Development Lead for Decred; a cutting-edge crypto currency that provides advancement in blockchain technology while also offering true governance. He is an avid open source developer who has been actively involved in crypto currency since 2011 working on and around several Bitcoin projects. He originated several innovations such as on-chain voting which set Decred apart from other digital currencies. He serves as the CTO of Company Zero and continues to hack on Decred's next generation digital governance tools. When not plastered in front of a screen Marco enjoys cooking, brewing, baking and farming chickens.

About Jorge:
He has been coding since he was 14, first as a hobby, then as a freelancer.
He has a B.S. in Computer Engineering and his main expertise is web and mobile development.
Recently he founded his own software development company and started diving into the crypto world, with focus on the development of more real-world use-cases for blockchain and DAG technologies, that, he believes, will revolutionize the world with the same magnitude as the Internet did, back in the 1990's.
