Boing Jump Center: trampolines and FOAM dodgeball (doesn't hurt)
Details
Feeling hyper? Let's go trampolining. For those that have never been, Boing Jump Center (http://orlando.boingjumpcenter.com/) is a place where the walls, floors, and support beams are all made out of trampolines. Jump, flip, and collapse as you please, followed by a "friendly" game of dodgeball, played with a pain-free foam ball. It won't hurt... except in the ego. Details below:
-
$12 ($10 with a military/sudent ID) for an hour, which sounds short, but I've been there a dozen times and have yet to see someone who holds out for longer than that. The hour will include dodgeball.
-
If we don't get enough people to play dodgeball, no problem; plenty of other Boingsmen will want to join, so we'll just befriend the rest... or beenemy them!
-
Bring your driver's license to fill out their waivers (as well to drive your car there).
-
Wear clothes that you can sweat and bounce around in... but you knew that.
-
Eat before you come or at their snack bar. If you go bouncing on an empty stomach, you'll run out of energy fast.
For those that are up for it, let's grab cupcakes afterward at Sweet (http://www.sweetbyholly.com/) (10 minutes away) and walk around Waterford Lakes to wind down. They also sell dinner immediately next door to to the cupcake place. For GPSophiles, the address for cupcakes/dinner is 711 North Alafaya Trail, Orlando, FL 32828 (http://maps.google.com/maps/place?cid=18234844130073332365&q=Sweet,+711+North+Alafaya+Trail,+Orlando,+FL+32828&hl=en&t=h&dtab=2&ie=UTF8&ll=28.565678,-81.206646&spn=0.077644,0.169086&z=13&vpsrc=0).
