🌞Level 2/3⛅13mile Walk Bakewell Over Haddon Lathkilldale Youlgreave Alport🌞

It's a perfect Summer's day walk.
This 13 mile scenic walk starts from Bakewell Bridge with a walk along the River and over fields to the pretty Village of Over Haddon.
We descend into the beautiful limestone valley of Lathkilldale following the River Lathkilldale with its stunning 11 weirs.

Then walking up Calesdale and onto the Limestone way until we get to the quaint Village of Youlgreave and the River Bradford where we'll have a wander, time allowing.

Following the River Bradford which takes us to the quiet Alport Village with its stone houses dating back to the 17th and 18th century.
Going over Conksbury Bridge, we rejoin the River Lathkill path with its stunning weirs, back up to Over Haddon where we join a footpath to Bakewell.

This walk is suitable for those with a good level of fitness and used to walking longer distances with hilly steep terrain. As always we'll have regular catching up points along the way.

Good walking boots are essential. Always have an extra layer or waterproof jacket with you.

Make sure you bring enough food and water to keep you going. We'll have a picnic lunch stop along the way.

We'll be passing the toilets in Over Haddon.

Pub stop near the end of the walk in Over Haddon at the Lathkill Dale Hotel sitting outside taking in the stunning views.

Car sharing is preferred for this walk due to reduced transport on a Sunday.
