Bike on the Seawall Ride
We will meet at the Target store parking lot which is off 61st street exit on I-45. Make a u-turn and this is the second exit after the causeway. We will bike to Moody Center for a quick break. We will not take 61st to Moody. From there we will bike to the seawall and bike on the seawall at 10 MPH all the way to McDonalds for another quick break.
From McDonalds we will bike to the Bolivar Ferry where we will take the ferry to Bolivar and tour an old historic fort, see some fishing spots, and then back to the ferry to go back to Galveston. Hopefully we will get to see some dolphins and plenty of pelicans. Then we will bike to lunch at The Original Mexican Restaurant around 1 pm. Lunch will be close to 1 pm so be sure to have a big breakfast. In addition bring your bike lock to lock your bike while we have lunch.
After lunch we will go back to our cars. The total distance will be around 25 miles at a leisure pace of 10 MPH. In case of rain or extreme bad weather, we will cancel . Please be sure your bike is functional as we will not be able to do any repairs.
