Let''s check out the fountains of Houston!
From the Heights to Allen Parkway to Downtown to the Medical Center an adventure awaits!
We will meet at 8:15 AM at Onion Creek Cafe. I will be on my recumbent bike which should be easy to spot.
We will start at 8:30 AM and bike towards Allen Parkway to see the dandelion fountain. From Allen Parkway we will bike towards downtown where we will see 5 fountains. Then we will bike to Discovery Green and actually enter the water fountain where we will get soaking wet!
Please bring a plastic sandwich bag to waterproof your phones, credit cards, and cameras. This is voluntary but if the spirit grabs you, then you may want to dress appropriately. Then we will bike to Herman Park, then the medical center then back to our starting location.,
We should be back to our starting spot at around noon. For those wanting to have lunch we can do so at Tacos a Go Go after the ride. This is one block to the East of the Onion Creek Restaurant. The total distance should be around 22 miles at a pace of 10 to 12 miles per hour.
It will be rescheduled in case of bad weather.
