- How are Digital Asset platforms responding to recent events and proposed regulations?

About the Panelists:
Tracy Molino:
Tracy has extensive experience with payments law and technology, bank regulatory and policy matters, and consumer protection issues. She has a particular interest in FinTech, PayTech and other innovative technologies including blockchain. Her combination of private sector and regulatory experience allows her to offer practical insight as to how companies from around the world operating in Canada can best achieve their business objectives.
Laurence Rose
Laurence Rose is accomplished financial services and technology entrepreneur, senior executive and director. He serves as Chairman of Omega ATS Inc. and is President of private investment firm Matchpoint Financial Corp.
Ryan Middleton:
Ryan specializes in the areas of banking and finance, where he regularly provides counsel to international and domestic lenders and borrowers in all areas of debt financing transactions, including syndicated financings, acquisition financings, and more.
Fred Pye
As founder and CEO of 3iQ, Fred and his team have worked cooperatively with the OSC for the last 2 and a half years to launch the first regulated Bitcoin fund in Canada. If approved, this fund will be the first major exchange-traded cryptocurrency fund in North America.
Rishabh Varshney
Rishabh is the CEO of Lake, bringing Wall Street tech to Main Street investors. Previously he co-founded Bunz and worked with the design team on Facebook Messenger to take revenue to $1B+.
Jordan Anderson
Jordan is a Sales Professional and Growth Marketer with 10+ years’ experience. He is a VP at Bitbuy and has spearheaded efforts to grow the business 10X in 2018. Before bitbuy Jordan spent 3+ years growing Yahoo! Canada's Mid-market Division to over 10MM+ in recurring yearly revenue. Jordan is passionate about blockchain, decentralization and emerging technologies.
Mauricio Di Bartolomeo
Mauricio is the Co-Founder & Chief Strategy Officer of Ledn Inc., which offers a suite of credit and savings products for your Bitcoin & digital assets. The company underwrote Canada's first-ever Bitcoin-backed loan in 2018 and has since been lending to Bitcoin holders across Canada.
Pamela Draper
Prior to joining Bitvo, Pamela Draper spent almost 14 years in investment and corporate banking at top-tier Canadian banks. In various roles, she focused on raising capital for North American growth-oriented companies across industry sectors. She holds an HBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business, University of Western Ontario.
Alexandra Posadzki
Alexandra is a financial services reporter at the Globe and Mail, where she writes about capital markets and cryptocurrency. She joined the Globe in August 2017 after spending nearly three years covering banking and real estate, among other topics, for the Canadian Press newswire. She has also worked for the Toronto Star, BNN and Global News.
