Virtual- Medicine Wheel teaching series (3 virtual with last 1 in-person)
Details
I discovered this posted on the Unity of Lynnwood FB page. (disclosure- I do not have any affiliation with this church. I follow their FB page)
I thought this would be an interesting continuation of what we experienced at the Sacred Women's circle with Brooke and learn more in depth about these teachings, but most certainly all are welcome to register and attend. I am not hosting this. I am an active participate. So here it goes all the details.
MUST Register here. What is a Medicine Wheel: A brief history of wheels in general (via Zoom). Four Mondays, 9/4, 9/18, 9/25, 10/2 (in person); 7:00 p.m. FREE
The Cherokee Medicine Wheel of 36 stones: The Four Directions and the meaning of all the stones. This series, presented by Starfeather Marcy, is a four-part journey into the teaching of the Cherokee Medicine Wheel. It includes an introduction, a guided meditation, and a teaching of the meaning and purpose of the Wheel. The culmination of the program will be a ceremony during which a Medicine Wheel will be physically built on the campus of Unity in Lynnwood by its community. This teaching is offered in gratitude for those who walked this land before us and lived in a sacred manor with respect for Mother Earth and the great web of life. The Cherokee Wheel teaching was given to Starfeather by her friend and teacher White Horse Woman, a Cherokee medicine woman who received the teaching from her grandmother Charlotta. This and other ceremonies were passed to Starfeather during a four-day Walk into the Elders Lodge initiation ceremony in 1995.
