Ever wonder why those numbers are discuss on the evening news. Do you like culture and light snacks? Then, join us for a Wikipedia edit-a-thon.

The Statistics Edit-a-thon is associated with the International Year of Statistics and the Wikimedia-DC chapter. We'll improve articles broadly related to the field of statistics and the official statistical activities such as historical censuses. We'll train anyone new to Wikipedia, and have brief talks on subjects of interest. Ed Summers is tentatively scheduled to make a short presentation about wikidata at this event.
