Red Rocks Camping & Climbing

Details

Red Rocks Canyon is one of climbing's Meccas; Let's start off the new year with some great climbing memories from a weekend trip of climbing and camping.

I have reserved a group campsite, which can accommodate a lot of people but does have its limits so priority will be given on a first come first serve basis.

All levels, abilities, and ages are welcome (dogs too, woof)!! This is a kid/family/dog friendly event.

We will head up Friday morning and plan to climb and camp Friday through Sunday. If you want to arrive later or leave earlier this is completely fine.

For those who want to drive up Friday Morning we can plan to meet at 5am at the Sabre Springs Park & Ride
( https://goo.gl/maps/iiDKgGsT2XC2 ) and drive in a convoy together. For those arriving later please let me know and we will let you know where to meet us once we get settled at the camp/crag.

I have two ropes, quickdraws, and anchors for us to be able to run two top-ropes/leads. If you have gear please be sure to bring it.

If anyone is not sure what to bring or this may be your first foray into outdoor climbing please just give me a shout and I can assist you. In general you should have your own helmet, harness, chalk bag, and shoes. We have extra gear so if you are missing something we can lend it to you.

Don't forget all of your camping gear, food, water, etc. If you are not accustomed to camping in the wild with limited facilities please let me know and I can guide you. Please be sure to bring lots of firewood so when can have a nice bonfire at night.

It will be a great weekend with lots of fun for the kiddos and adults. I look forward to seeing you on the red rox!
