Neil deGrasse Tyson - Science as a Way of Knowing (Allendale)

Neil deGrasse Tyson comes to Michigan! He will be speaking on "Science as a Way of Knowing." CFI-Michigan is proud to co-sponsor this event with Center for Inquiry–Grand Valley.

In his lecture, Dr. Tyson makes the case for science as a way to understand nature, and how the scientific process is a vital way to comprehend the world, discovering elusive answers to questions large and small.

Neil deGrasse Tyson was born and raised in New York City where he was educated in the public schools clear through his graduation from the Bronx High School of Science. Tyson went on to earn his BA in Physics from Harvard and his PhD in Astrophysics from Columbia. Tyson’s professional research interests are broad, but include star formation, exploding stars, dwarf galaxies, and the structure of our Milky Way.
