Ahmanson Ranch is a picture perfect hike .Rolling hills with acres of beautiful yellow Black Mustard plants ''very tasty'' but an invasive species. There are also a bunch of areas that have native Fennel plants. The area has lot's of oak trees and wildlife. There are coyotes I have bumped in to a few. They will not harm you and will just run away if you stare at them. They are part of nature and are fun to look at. There are a lot of ticks there as well. We will be on wide fire roads and usually ticks are no problem. There are Deer in the park that's why there are ticks. They are Deer ticks...as in ''not'' Dear ticks!

The hike is very moderate with minimal elevation .It's an easy 4 mile hike as in 4 miles complete loop hike. A lot of off road bikers as in bicycle riders are on the trails. It is a favorite path for trail runners. It is a loop so we will come right back to where we started from. What to bring

Water, hiking shoes or trail runner shoes or just sneakers. It might get hot so bring more water than what you think that you will need. It's just smart to do this. Snacks are always great to bring. I bring my backpack with extra water and a first aid kit. You never know what will happen. Usually nothing happens but its wise to bring your own backpack with some water and a small first aid kit. Bring a camera so that you can post some pictures of the hike when you get back home. Hiking is a great way to meet people and I encourage people to come expecting to meet new people and make new friends along the way.

So I will see you all there...Ron.L.
