OpenCL 101

Our next meeting will be at Think Bank in Edina. We will be meeting in the 2nd floor community room (see event picture).

Similar to Tony's previous "CUDA 101" talk, I will give a brief overview of OpenCL in order to explain some of the key benefits and reasons why developers might choose to implement solutions in OpenCL instead of (or in addition to) CUDA.

This will be the first of two meetings dedicated to OpenCL, and will serve as the basis for comparing the current framework to the new version due to arrive sometime later in 2020 (OpenCL Next).

If anyone attending has OpenCL experience, please send me a personal message if you would like to share a demo or simply help lead this discussion.

Free pizza, snacks and beverages will be provided.
