2nd Annual Women of Wonder Run!

Our fantastic GeekGirlCon Programming Manager Meg Humphrey is participating in the 2nd annual Women of Wonder Run (http://www.promotionevents.com/WOW/Info.html) and she wants as many folks to join up and walk with her!

If there is enough interest generated in this event, maybe a GeekGirlCon team (http://www.promotionevents.com/WOW/Teams.html) can be formed! So if you are interested in attending and walking with Meg and other GeekGirlCon staffers, register and let us know in the comments below.

The event takes place at Green Lake Park in Seattle. There will be a 10K run/walk, a 5K run/walk, a free kids dash and more! There will also be a festive women-centric post-race celebration.

This year's event will have women-sized technical fabric shirts, finisher medals, chocolate brownies, wine, mimosas, temporary tattoos, a photo wall, and more!

8:00am - Day of Race Registration & Packet Pickup Opens
9:00am - Wine + Mimosa Garden Opens
9:00am - Free pre-race yoga session lead by jasyoga (http://www.jasyoga.com)
9:10am - PCC Healthy Kids Little Wonders Run (http://www.promotionevents.com/WOW/KidsDash.html) (kids dash)
9:30am - 10K Run/Walk & 5K Run/Walk
9:45am - Finish Line Festival Starts
10:45am - Awards Ceremony
Noon - Wine + Mimosa Garden Closes / The event ends

Event Beneficiary is Team Survivor Northwest (http://teamsurvivornw.org) - a non-profit organization offering a variety of fitness and health education programs to women with a past or present diagnosis of cancer. Programs are at no cost to members and appropriate for women at all levels of fitness.
