You've been writing a romance novel or erotica... or what Ellora's Cave cleverly calls "Romantica" and you're stuck. Or you've been wanting to write a book in the romance and/or erotica genres and don't know how to start. Whether you are seasoned writer or not, you'll learn a great deal in this weekly workshop. We started a local writer's group, but found that some of the members who are writing erotica and romance were either uncomfortable reading their work aloud or their work wasn't accepted by other members of the group due to its more-or-less graphic nature. This is my solution. There's plenty of really bad romance and erotica in the world. Don't add to it. Learn to write it WELL. Get excellent feedback and input from your peers and from the group leader, Sandra Rea, a published author with a variety of genres under her belt. A private coach who wanted to find a way to serve more authors more affordably leads the group. There is a fee to attend our meetings... but the coaching and instruction you receive is worth far more. Learn how publishing works, how to self-publish if you can't find a home for your manuscript, how to self-promote (which all authors must do) and more. This isn't your ordinary writers group.
Come January, have your manuscripts ready for review. Bring a note pad, too. Get your questions answered. New meeting day will be Saturday afternoons.
We will meet once a month. Currently, we meet at Starbucks on Muirlands or Round Table Pizza (back room) on Lake Forest Drive.
AS our group grows, we'll find meeting spaces to match!!
