MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS: Over 50 years old - You have a desire to make new friends, do fun things, and be active in Wisconsin.
PROFILE: Fill in the profile page and upload a photo of your face. A good picture of your face in your profile helps everyone find you at an event and remember you. It's especially helpful for event hosts to watch for newcomers who attend the activity. Instructions are here, after you become a member of our group. https://www.meetup.com/help/topics/11/article/615549/
BECOME A MEMBER - Request to join and wait for the approval. Be sure to attend at least one event within the next 5 months to maintain membership. If you don't see something you would like to do and have an idea, contact the organizer and make a suggestion. Be open to meeting people, mingle with others and be open to welcoming new members. Most of all, have fun!
FEES: Please enjoy the site free of charge and make sure it's the Meetup for you! If you have enjoyed getting together and continue to use the site as the year passes, consider making a donation. There is a yearly fee to maintain this site. If you are enjoying the site, and would like to help defer costs, you can give a donation (no more than $5) and it will be put it aside to pay for next year's fee. If more is collected than needed to cover expenses, it will be shared with the group in some way.
RSVP-YES: Find an event you want to attend, RSVP YES and show up. Be sure to watch the comments in the event for changes and how to find the group if it's not listed in the description. Comments are a good way to let your host know if anything changes, if you will be late, or not be able to attend after you have already said YES. If you are not planning to attend an event you do NOT have to say you're not going, that is used if you change from YES to NO.
GUESTS: We encourage people to tell friends and bring them to our events. After your friend attends one or two events, they can decide if they'd like to join or not.
ATTENDANCE: If 5 months have passed and you have not attended an event, you may be removed from the group. You are welcome to sign up again at any time! If you don't see any events you like, please suggest events to an organizer. Remember this Meetup is intended to be YOURS!
*No Show - If you RSVP - YES and something comes up and you can't make it, remember to change your RSVP to NO. If it is within one hour of the event, please include a comment on the event to let the host know not to look for you. Event hosts are responsible for ensuring everyone who attends their event can find the group so they'll wait and watch for you.
TRANSPORTATION: You are responsible for transporting yourself to and from each event unless specified.
RESPECT: This goes a long way towards making this a great experience. Please help create a positive, friendly, and welcoming environment. It is important that this group is a safe, welcoming environment for everyone. Members who engage in negative or inappropriate behaviors may be removed from the group at the leadership team's discretion.
