NEWMAN'S CASTLE/ROHAN MEADERY

LOGISTICS
Bus will leave at 9:30 a.m from Wal-Mart (155 Louetta Crossing, Spring). First stop will be NEWMAN’S CASTLE in Bellville, TX. Approximately, 1 ½ hour drive. Tour starts at 11:00 a.m. Duration 1- 1½ hours. Cost of the tour is $21.99 (tax included). Sack lunch provided at no additional cost. You must pre-purchase your own ticket on-line at www.newmanscastle.com and click on Book a Tour. Please do so early as I was advised that Saturdays sell out early.

Leaving Newman’s Castle around 12:30, our next stop is ROHAN MEADERY at Blissful Folly Farm. It is approximately a 45 min drive so arrival time is around 1:15 p.m.

There is live music on Saturdays and a very large Canapied Outdoor Sitting area. We are encouraged to sit back, relax, enjoy the music and play games if we so choose.

NEWMAN’S CASTLE:
Features include a moat, a massive 3000 lb drawbridge with an accompanying portcullis, five round corner turrets, a courtyard, a central keep with a dramatic view of the surrounding lands.

ROHAN MEADERY:
This is the oldest meadery in Texas. The farm is a small farm featuring an apiary, vineyard, peach, pear, apricot and pomegranate trees, goats, chickens, sheep and donkeys.
