What we're about

505 Steampunk is a social group for people to have fun together in any steampunk related ways we can imagine. We host teas, book discussions, grand dances, and are planning workshops for our makers. We attend local events together as well as conferences in and out of state. Put on your best hat and goggles and join us for the fun!

Adventures of Time Travelers: Stroll through the fields

Valle de Oro National Wildlife Refuge

The adventures of the lost Time Travelers continue as they find themselves in an enormous grassy field where they see sandhill cranes, snow geese, Canadian geese, a dragonfly pond, & a bridge. They meet other lost time travelers from the past, present & future...
Stroll on your own or with others through the fields or around the Dragonfly Pond. The Visitor's Center building is currently closed. We will meet outdoors where there is seating at The Amphitheater (west of the Visitor's Center) or at The Porch next to the Dragonfly Pond (south of the Visitor's Center). Currently, there is no access to the bosque or the bosque trails. However, you can see the bosque in the distance if you stroll westward. The restrooms in the breezeway are open. Any steampunk or other costumes are admired but not required. Everyone is welcome. You don't need to be a member of this group to attend. Event is free.
10:30 am to 11:30 am
7851 South 2nd St SW, Albuquerque
This event is also posted on the 505 Steampunk Society Facebook Group.

FYI- Wild Wild West Con 10

Westward Look Wyndham Grand Resort and Spa

The WWWC 10 theme is Over the Rainbow
We are very excited to announce that Wild Wild West Steampunk Convention 10 will take place Thursday, March 3rd through Sunday, March 6, 2022!
As many of you know, Old Tucson is closed for the immediate future. Plans are in the works to reopen the park, but it will not be ready for us to host WWWC10 there in 2022.

We have secured the Westward Look as the venue for Wild Wild West Steampunk Convention 10 and we are very excited for all of the opportunities this provides us. With a remarkable old west feel, this property dates back to 1912 and boasts over 20,000 square feet of event space. We have a dedicated (and air-conditioned!) vendor hall and many more plans in the works.
For the first time, you will be able to enjoy everything Wild Wild West Steampunk Convention has to offer, without a long drive!

Please contact [masked] if you have any questions.
Rooms are selling out quickly so reserve a room soon.

CSI Albuquerque

Civic Plaza

Think you could solve a murder case? Experience life as a Crimescene Investigator in this thrilling outdoor murder mystery event by CluedUpp Games, coming to Albuquerque, NM on Saturday the 23rd April 2022. The Steampunk CSI team will be one team of many that will be called in to solve this befuddling case.

Use forensic techniques, codebreaking, and good old-fashioned detective work to crack the case in this limited ticket event…

A few of us participated in a similar event a couple years ago. It was so much fun. We are ready for a new challenge. The team I am organizing is limited to four people. If more than four people want to participate, we can create more teams. Each team must pay for a team ticket. You can use the code TAKE20 for 20% off the price.

This is an outdoor event and Covid safe practices will be followed. We will be out and about from an hour to two. Expect to walk about 1 1/2 miles throughout downtown Albuquerque.

Here are a couple web links for more information about CluedUpp Games.
