Santa Fe Baldy via Winsor Trail

We will hike from the Santa Fe Ski Basin to Santa Fe Baldy on Winsor Trail. We might consider a variant of this hike with lake Katherine based on the wants of the group. We will meet at the Target parking lot at Paseo and I-25 for ride sharing. Travel time is 1.5 hours each way. This is a longer hike with significant elevation gain at higher altitude. You need to be hiking regularly to be in shape for this one. I will drive and can take 3 others. We will likely need at least one more driver.

Elevation gain: 3500 feet

⚠ Bring a headlamp, rain gear, a multiple layers, food and water. We will be out all day.

We will hike as a group. The pace is less than the cardio hike pace to be sustainable over longer distances. You should be participating in our weekly cardio hikes and/or shorter weekend hikes prior to participating in this hike.

With your RSVP you made a commitment: You signed up with the intent to go because you value your commitment to yourself and others. You are prepared to hike in changing conditions including the daily departure of the sun. You can address your needs around food, water, clothing, and any health needs that are unique to you. You are capable of returning to the starting point and going on about your life unassisted, but would rather participate in our community.
