The concept here is very simple. If you are new to the group or New in Town OR new to meetup. Then THIS is the event to go. OR If you have been in the group, and want to be part of the welcome wagon . . . join right in. Just like everyone else: You want to meet other members and to meetup!! AND If your B-day is in FEB . . . then THIS is the event for you!! In other words all members welcome to attend. So you will meet and make a nice circle of friends and decent people. Dress code is upscale classy . Please feel free to wear cocktail attire and feel Free to wear a Masquerade Style mask as Halloween is around the corner. Where will all the merriment be occurring you ask? Le Petit Paris!!!! Located in a historic Building built in 1913. Sumptuous as a description does not do it justice. Several circular crystal chandeliers drape from the ceiling and gold leafed columns line the walls. The restaurant’s grand staircase leads to the second floor complete with a lounge, red velvet abounds. A candle filled fireplace complete with lush furniture and original hand painted tiles. It also features multiple skylights, two bars, a mezzanine level and a large outdoor patio. We will have the entire mezzanine level just for us. Here is what will happen: Arrival time window is between 7 and 8PM When you enter on Spring St thru the grand entrance literally step in a little bit of Paris here in LA. You will proceed thru the main part of the restaurant to the grand staircase and go upstairs to the elegant mezzanine level. Once there . . . you will meet other event hosts and group members. How much for all the fabulousness? • No Cover and No Minimum. (this way if on a budget there is no pressure). You will still need to pay for whatever drinks or bites you do purchase. The main goals are to: • Socialize and get to meet people. • Celebrate any birthdays of members in that month. • Be a New Members welcome too. And meet other more seasoned members too!! To be clear: This event open to all members. With the on site emphasis to be a warm welcome to the group, and to meetup. This is an inclusive event for people to feel comfortable and get to know people in a setting that does not involve some other event happening (like a concert, or seated dinner) Starting at around 8:00PM most will be there. Winery Hopping in the Valle de Guadalupe VI For our sixth excursion to the Valle de Guadalupe we will be sampling three great wineries: Hilo Negro, Vinicola Relieve and Casa Magoni. The itinerary will be as follows: February 29th, 2020 8 AM – Meet outside the McDonald’s along the trolley tracks in San Ysidro. 8:15 – Cross into Tijuana by foot. 8:30 – Walk to the transportation meeting point. 9:00 – Take our bus to the Valle de Guadalupe. 10:45 – Hilo Negro – Wine tasting + Lunch https://www.yelp.com/biz/hilo-negro-valle-de-guadalupe This seems to be one of the newer wineries in the Valle. 1:30 – Vinicola Relieve – Wine tasting Relieve recently went through a renovation and I am highly anxious to see how it turned out. https://www.facebook.com/VinicolaRelieve/ 3:30 – Casa Magoni – Wine tasting Magoni – while I am sure the wine is good here, I think the big draw is the giant oak tree. https://www.yelp.com/biz/casa-magoni-guadalupe 5:00 – Begin heading back to Tijuana 6:45 – Gastro Telefonica food truck park – We will have dinner here before heading home. https://www.yelp.com/biz/telef%C3%B3nica-gastro-park-tijuana-2?osq=gastro+telefonica We will take an Uber XL or Ruta taxi back to the border. 8:30 – Enter the US @ San Ysidro ***All times are approximate, so please be flexible.*** After you have RSVPed yes please send $25 to secure your seat on the bus. This basically means no gym or beach clothes. If you need further clarity please message me. If you are driving and meeting at the border I highly recommend you park at the Palm Ave trolley lot and take the trolley down as the lots in San Ysidro are very pricey on the weekends. The all day trolley pass is $6. What to bring or consider bringing: Passport (if you are not a Mexican citizen) Comfortable shoes Portable phone charger Sunglasses Bottle of water Snack such as a granola bar, protein bar or fruit.
