TOPIC: Ideals to Live by

Definition: "Satisfying one's conception of what is perfect; most suitable."

We each have internal philosophies which help guide our decisions and actions. Some seek the perfect philosophy in such regard. Is such a concept possible? What about the most suitable philosophy? Surely, it's possible to discover suitable modes of thought, suitable rules to live by. How might we come to discover these ideals? By what metric would we judge such ideals? Can ideals compete?
