I've never heard of this organisation, but it appears they have been around for a long time and have a strong track record when it comes to organising attractive markets where hand-made local craftware is promoted. And I'm all for supporting those!
KAMERS/Makers returns to Sandton with its Autumn / Winter show. True to the KAMERS/Makers way, they’re bringing about 150 Makers to Joburg, with lots of brand-new, first-time artisans' wares on show. Attendees can look forward to some amazing old and new talents in fashion, food, wellness, jewellery, décor and much more.
The KAMERS/Makers show is focused on providing a platform for local crafters, designers and entrepreneurs who offer handmade artistry products that are fresh and unique. It also gives shoppers an opportunity for face-to-face encounters with those who produce the articles. In addition to showcasing local artisans, the Autumn / Winter event features food stalls, drinks bars, and lots more.
Pets are welcome, but dogs must be leashed.
Tickets are available online, with a handful of tickets available at the gate at a more expensive rate. Please note though, that online tickets receive priority entry if the show is very busy.
Browse on your own beforehand, and then join us for lunch at the specified time. (I'll have to find out where a good place to meet will be, and communicate this to everybody later!)
Tickets: R100.00 (Single Day Pass) | R140.00 (Multi-Day Pass)
